Dr. Donald Harper, University of Chicago, presents an examination based on archaeological artifacts and manuscripts of the ordinary Chinese of the Qin dynasty and their world view, particularly their interaction with the spiritual world as they engaged in daily life. A new spin on an ancient subject, this late-night workshop leads you on a lantern-lit journey through the tombs of the Terra Cotta Warriors. Speakers, demonstrations, scavenger hunts, writing assignments, food, and fun will carry you back to your classroom with a passion to teach your students about this enigmatic army and the First Emperor of the Qin dynasty.  Wear comfortable clothes!
