Art in Context | Designed for Eternity: The Art of Ancient Peru, Part 4

Presented by Art Historian and founder of Art in Context, Annalee Andres.

Guest Instructor: Valerie Taylor, PhD.

Moche: Moche is the name given to the site, river valley, culture, style and state that dominated the North Coast for the first 800 years AD. The enormous adobe mounds of Moche structures are the largest in the Americas, and the grand tombs at the sites of Sipan, San Jose de Moro, and Huaca Cao Viejo, with its female leader have revealed the outstanding wealth and artistry of Moche metalwork.
