Directions & Parking

The Bowers Museum

is located at the corner of 20th & Main Streets in Santa Ana - one minute from the 5 freeway, (Main St. South exit) and just minutes from the 57, 55 and 22 freeways.


is located on the corner of 18th and Main Streets - south of the main Bowers Museum. Parking is available in a well-lighted conveniently located area, adjacent to the Museum. Wheelchair accessible.


Parking Lots are available directly north and south of the museum for a $6 fee. Nearby metered and timed street parking is also available. Bowers Museum Members have the exclusive opportunity to purchase an Annual Parking Pass for $20.

Public Transportation

The bus line servicing the Bowers Museum and Kidseum is the OCTA bus number 53. Metrolink and Amtrak trains stop at the Anaheim Station (3.5 miles from the museum), and the Santa Ana Station (1.7 miles from the museum).

Become an archaeologist in the enhanced Archaeology Room located in an Egyptian Tomb. Limited-Edition Platinum Prints

The Bowers Museum, in partnership with RGS London, is pleased to offer limited edition platinum prints, the highest quality of image achievable, of Frank Hurley's original negatives which document one of the greatest stories of human survival ever told. Handmade on the finest cotton paper, the prints will be available in three sizes with full supporting provenance documentation. BSOC Workshop: Nefertiti’s Royal Collar

Instructor: Doris Weinbaum

This handwoven necklace is a variation of right angle weave that works up quickly and lays elegantly on the neck. Some seed beading experience is helpful, but beginners are welcome.

Kits include: the four beads needed along with a basemetal silver or gold colored clasp.

A - Hematite Daggers, Matte Metallic Blue Grey Tilas, Hematite 11/0, Montana Blue AB Crystals

B - Grey/Green Daggers, Black Tilas, Green Iris 11/0, Black Crystals

C - Hyacinth/Bronze Daggers, Matte Metallic Copper Tilas, Bronze 11/0, Taupe Crystals (Pictured)

Students need to bring: a bead mat or other beading surface, scissors, Nymo D or up to 6 lb. Fireline thread (your choice) and a size 10 or 11 beading needle.
