BSOC Workshop: Spiral Striped Earrings

Instructor: Judy Walker

Make these delightful tubular earrings, and learn an optional new variation of your old favorite peyote stitch that makes them twice as fast to make! You'll also learn a quick and easy way to start peyote stitch - no struggling!

Kit will contain black and white Delica size 11 cylinder beads, bicone crystals, head pins, accent beads, ear wires, and plastic drinking straws.

Please bring beading needles, your favorite beading thread (Nymo D or equivalent, nothing thicker than that - or Fireline no thicker than 6#), and fine scissors. Some of these may be available in class. Optional: round nose pliers, chain nose pliers, wire cutters. These will be available to borrow in class.

Detailed list of materials to bring if you don't want to buy the kit in class:
- two colors of Delica size 11 cylinder beads, small quantity of each
- your favorite beading thread - Nymo D or equivalent, nothing thicker than that - or Fireline no heavier than 6 lb
- beading needles
- fine scissors
- four 8mm bicone crystals, color harmonizing with your beads
- two small metal accent beads, about 4mm in diameter (I will have some in class)
- two long (3 inch) head pins, bring a few extra in case you spoil one
- two ear wires

Judy will provide plastic drinking straws for everyone, even if they don't buy a kit - they have to be a very specific size to work.

Registration is required. For fee and registration information, please contact Judy at
