Directions & Parking

The Bowers Museum

is located at the corner of 20th & Main Streets in Santa Ana - one minute from the 5 freeway, (Main St. South exit) and just minutes from the 57, 55 and 22 freeways.


is located on the corner of 18th and Main Streets - south of the main Bowers Museum. Parking is available in a well-lighted conveniently located area, adjacent to the Museum. Wheelchair accessible.


Parking Lots are available directly north and south of the museum for a $6 fee. Nearby metered and timed street parking is also available. Bowers Museum Members have the exclusive opportunity to purchase an Annual Parking Pass for $20.

Public Transportation

The bus line servicing the Bowers Museum and Kidseum is the OCTA bus number 53. Metrolink and Amtrak trains stop at the Anaheim Station (3.5 miles from the museum), and the Santa Ana Station (1.7 miles from the museum).

Kidseum: Bowers Children’s Museum

Ignite your imagination at the new Kidseum! Explore the wonders of the world on the Green Screen Time Machine and Glow Cave. Become an archaeologist in the enhanced Archaeology Room located in an Egyptian Tomb. Play drums from around the world, travel in a camper, investigate color on the SMART Table, sit in a teepee and much more!

Wine + Chile = Salvation! A Wine Pairing Experience

Celebrate the rescue of the Endurance crew from their year as castaways in Antarctica with a great feast prepared by Tangata Restaurant featuring the best in Chilean food and wine. Enjoy a three-course Chilean meal paired with fine Chilean wine in the company of your friends and special access to our exhibit, Endurance: The Antarctic Legacy of Sir Ernest Shackleton and Frank Hurley. Wine pairing will be hosted by Rachael Palisin of Quintessential Wines and includes selections from multi-generational, family-owned Chilean wineries. Watch the Chilean cueca performed live and join in on the dancing too!

Limited-Edition Platinum Prints

The Bowers Museum, in partnership with RGS London, is pleased to offer limited edition platinum prints, the highest quality of image achievable, of Frank Hurley's original negatives which document one of the greatest stories of human survival ever told. Handmade on the finest cotton paper, the prints will be available in three sizes with full supporting provenance documentation. Festival of India featuring Sadubas!

As part of our Festival of India celebration, Bowers Museum is proud to present Sadubas, aka The Sadhus of Bass. The duo converges classical Indian rhythms with 70s Bollywood vibes to create psychedelic soundscapes that are one part trip hop and two parts cinematic south Asia. Electronic artists Robin Sukhadia (MFA '07) and Ameet Mehta bring a wide range of contemporary influences to their compositions, including media samples, Bollywood grooves, and classical Indian rhythm and raga.

Robin Sukhadia (aka tablapusher)
A Master in Fine Arts graduate from the World Music program at the California Institute of the Arts, Robin Sukhadia has been studying tabla (classical north Indian drums) under Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri at CalArts and the Ali Akbar College of Music in San Rafael, California for the past twelve years. He currently studies with Swapanji's nephew Debashish Chaudhuri. In 2010, Robin was awarded a Fulbright Senior Research Award to expand his work with music education for underserved communities in India. More at

Ameet Mehta (aka PartTimeChiller)
PartTimeChiller (alias for multi-genre Los Angeles based DJ / beat producer Ameet Mehta) has been moving dance floors, galleries and intimate gatherings for the past 20 years with an eclectic selection of global rhythms sampling from 70’s Bollywood funk, experimental hip hop and beyond. He is a creative technologist by trade and current Chief Technology Officer of underground music and culture magazine Ameet has delivered eccentric performances at LACMA, U.R. Art, The Broad Stage and various venues from Los Angeles to San Francisco, and has set the vibe opening for a variety of artists including Thievery Corporation's Rob Garza and Los Angeles's DEEP Resident, Marques Wyatt.
