Olivia Chiang studied piano at the age of five and began her first classical guitar lesson with her father guitarist and composer James Chiang when she was seven. She has been performing in public in her early childhood. She attended Christopher Parkening and Roland Dyen’s masterclass in 2010 and 2011.

 Under the teaching and guidance of her father, Olivia received Music Diploma from the Board Exam at the Royal School of Music (ABRSM) at London, UK at the age of eleven. There are seven composers from Venezuela, Austria, Iran and US who have composed guitar pieces and dedicated them to her. Among other achievements, Olivia performed Vivaldi’s Lute Concerto with Irvine Classical Players at the age of thirteen and Concierto de Aranjuez with at Walnut High School’s symphony orchestra. Olivia is also a feature guest player at Guitar Salon International (GSI) since she was twelve years old. She is also the 2nd place winner of the ATSA National Solo Competition 2015.
