The Bowers Museum Teen Art Council (TAC) is a multi-session career development program held on the Bowers Museum campus in Santa Ana, CA for low-income, 9th-12th graders in Orange County. Students learn about the many different career paths in the arts and the creative industry from a life as an artist, behind the scenes in museum collections, designing and building exhibits to marketing programs, program design education and fundraising. Students also share in dialogue with peers and professionals around the kinds of skills and qualities that must be developed to build and sustain effective work habits in careers in and out of the creative industry.

The 2017-2018 cohort of teens learned about how flexible a career in the arts can really be, and a subcommittee coordinated this year’s Santa Ana Unified School District Artspiration Event!
