ARCE Archaeology Lecture Series: Egyptian Stories Revealed - The MET's Exciting New Acquisitions

PURCHASE TICKETS

Presented by Dr. Diana Craig-Patch, MET Museum, NYC

Many of the objects in the Met's Egyptian collection are old favorites: William, the blue hippo, the exquisite lips of a queen in yellow jasper, or the graceful models from Meketre's tomb. The stories they tell about ancient Egypt are well known. This presentation shares new narratives developed by The Met's curators as they studied a number of recent acquisitions.
Sponsored by Lauralee Barton in partnership with the American Research Center in Egypt: Orange County Chapter.
