Latin American Studies in Motion: Patrimonio (2017)

Patrimonio is a documentary by Sarah Teale and Lisa F. Jackson. This program's presenters will be filmmaker Lisa Jackson and community leader Quirino Cota.

A multi-billion-dollar American development is poised to engulf a small coastal community in Mexico with a mega hotel/condo complex. But local people are banding together to save their way of life and the delicate ecosystem on which they all depend.    Co-sponsors include UCI Latin American Studies Center, UCHRI, UCI Illuminations and the UC Institute for Mexico and the United States.
