Janet Seward, a potter turned wire-bending jeweler, will consider the human need for defense, identity and status as it is exhibited in personal adornment. Examples from cultures around the world will be shown with an emphasis on the Latino/indigenous divide in Guatemala and the remnants of defense jewelry used on the Silk Trade Route and throughout Africa.
