In this image-based lecture, art and design historian and Lynda Thomas Distinguished Lecturer Ellen Huang, Ph.D. will discuss the significance of Guo Pei’s designs for couture within the context of early modern global trade and design materials from late imperial and modern Chinese history (ca.1200-present).
