Timeless Melodies: The Ladies Sing

Celebrate some of the most successful female vocalists of the Great American Songbook this month with Timeless Melodies. Music historian Larry Maurer traces the roots of great vocalists including Doris Day, Billie Holiday, Rosemary Clooney, Ella Fitzgerald, Kate Smith, Mary Martin, Lena Horne, Peggy Lee and many others; some of whom overcame immense poverty to become star attractions.
