Directions & Parking

The Bowers Museum

is located at the corner of 20th & Main Streets in Santa Ana - one minute from the 5 freeway, (Main St. South exit) and just minutes from the 57, 55 and 22 freeways.


is located on the corner of 18th and Main Streets - south of the main Bowers Museum. Parking is available in a well-lighted conveniently located area, adjacent to the Museum. Wheelchair accessible.


Parking Lots are available directly north and south of the museum for a $6 fee. Nearby metered and timed street parking is also available. Bowers Museum Members have the exclusive opportunity to purchase an Annual Parking Pass for $20.

Public Transportation

The bus line servicing the Bowers Museum and Kidseum is the OCTA bus number 53. Metrolink and Amtrak trains stop at the Anaheim Station (3.5 miles from the museum), and the Santa Ana Station (1.7 miles from the museum).

Kidseum: Bowers Children’s Museum

Ignite your imagination at the new Kidseum! Explore the wonders of the world on the Green Screen Time Machine and Glow Cave. Become an archaeologist in the enhanced Archaeology Room located in an Egyptian Tomb. Play drums from around the world, travel in a camper, investigate color on the SMART Table, sit in a teepee and much more!

Wine + Chile = Salvation! A Wine Pairing Experience

Celebrate the rescue of the Endurance crew from their year as castaways in Antarctica with a great feast prepared by Tangata Restaurant featuring the best in Chilean food and wine. Enjoy a three-course Chilean meal paired with fine Chilean wine in the company of your friends and special access to our exhibit, Endurance: The Antarctic Legacy of Sir Ernest Shackleton and Frank Hurley. Wine pairing will be hosted by Rachael Palisin of Quintessential Wines and includes selections from multi-generational, family-owned Chilean wineries. Watch the Chilean cueca performed live and join in on the dancing too!

Limited-Edition Platinum Prints

The Bowers Museum, in partnership with RGS London, is pleased to offer limited edition platinum prints, the highest quality of image achievable, of Frank Hurley's original negatives which document one of the greatest stories of human survival ever told. Handmade on the finest cotton paper, the prints will be available in three sizes with full supporting provenance documentation. Champagne with Flutes Across the World

Champagne with Flutes Across the World:
Sip some champagne and make your own flute while enjoying live music and learning about music's influence on cultures across the world. Master musicians from the Salaamuna Ensemble will perform on exotic and rare wind instruments from varying regions and cultures in the Middle East. These world renowned instrumentalists will dazzle and amaze you with their virtuosity, expertise, storytelling, and good humor. The performance will be followed by an engaging presentation by the Founder and Artistic Director of Flutes Across the World. John Zeretske.

Program Schedule:
4pm - 6pm: Mummies of the World open late (not included in Thirsty Thursday admission)
5pm - 8pm: Explore our permanent collections galleries
5pm - 6pm: Shop at our Gallery Store
5pm - 7pm: Indulge in Tangata's Happy Hour (rotunda bar in John M. Lee Court) 
5pm - 7pm: Make your own flute with Martin Espino
5:30pm - 6:30pm: Enjoy a musical performance by Flutes Across the World
7pm - 8pm: Engage in a lecture presentation by John Zeretske, who will be discussing the influence and importance of music throughout both modern and ancient, indigenous cultures with demonstrations on ancient and exotic instruments from around the world
