Directions & Parking

The Bowers Museum

is located at the corner of 20th & Main Streets in Santa Ana - one minute from the 5 freeway, (Main St. South exit) and just minutes from the 57, 55 and 22 freeways.

Kidseum

is located on the corner of 18th and Main Streets - south of the main Bowers Museum. Parking is available in a well-lighted conveniently located area, adjacent to the Museum. Wheelchair accessible.

Parking

Parking Lots are available directly north and south of the museum for a $6 fee. Nearby metered and timed street parking is also available. Bowers Museum Members have the exclusive opportunity to purchase an Annual Parking Pass for $20.

Public Transportation

The bus line servicing the Bowers Museum and Kidseum is the OCTA bus number 53. Metrolink and Amtrak trains stop at the Anaheim Station (3.5 miles from the museum), and the Santa Ana Station (1.7 miles from the museum).

Kidseum: Bowers Children’s Museum

Ignite your imagination at the new Kidseum! Explore the wonders of the world on the Green Screen Time Machine and Glow Cave. Become an archaeologist in the enhanced Archaeology Room located in an Egyptian Tomb. Play drums from around the world, travel in a camper, investigate color on the SMART Table, sit in a teepee and much more!

Wine + Chile = Salvation! A Wine Pairing Experience

Celebrate the rescue of the Endurance crew from their year as castaways in Antarctica with a great feast prepared by Tangata Restaurant featuring the best in Chilean food and wine. Enjoy a three-course Chilean meal paired with fine Chilean wine in the company of your friends and special access to our exhibit, Endurance: The Antarctic Legacy of Sir Ernest Shackleton and Frank Hurley. Wine pairing will be hosted by Rachael Palisin of Quintessential Wines and includes selections from multi-generational, family-owned Chilean wineries. Watch the Chilean cueca performed live and join in on the dancing too!

Limited-Edition Platinum Prints

The Bowers Museum, in partnership with RGS London, is pleased to offer limited edition platinum prints, the highest quality of image achievable, of Frank Hurley's original negatives which document one of the greatest stories of human survival ever told. Handmade on the finest cotton paper, the prints will be available in three sizes with full supporting provenance documentation. Cinco de Mayo Celebration!

Enjoy extended hours at the Bowers on Cinco de Mayo with happy hour at Tangata, live music by Martin Espino, a multimedia presentation by Dr. Gloria Arjona, and a Diego Rivera-inspired watercolor workshop! Explore our permanent and changing exhibitions including Popol Vuh: Watercolors of Diego Rivera and Mummies of the World: The Exhibition (Mummies admission is not included in ticket price). Close out the night with music and dancing in the courtyard!

5pm - 7pm INDULGE in dinner and Happy Hour drink specials at Tangata | ENJOY live Mayan and indigenous Mexican music by Martin Espino
5pm - 8pm EXPLORE our permanent and changing exhibits including Popol Vuh: Watercolors of Diego Rivera and Mummies of the World: The Exhibition (Mummies exhibition is an additional cost) | PARTICIPATE in a Diego Rivera-inspired watercolor art workshop
7pm - 8pm ENGAGE in a multimedia presentation by Dr. Gloria Arjona, who will display the vibrant images of the Popol Vuh, painted in 1931 by Diego Rivera while singing songs in Mayan, Nahuatl and Spanish, related to the Mayan peoples of Mexico and Central America.
8pm- 9pm Music and dancing in the courtyard!

Members $20 (includes free drink) | General $30 (includes free drink) | *Students $10 (drink not included) | $10 for Teachers and Santa Ana residents with proof of residency (drink not included) 
Santa Ana residents must purchase tickets in person at the Bowers and student tickets must be purchased in person or by phone at 714.567.3677. 18 and over.
