Directions & Parking

The Bowers Museum

is located at the corner of 20th & Main Streets in Santa Ana - one minute from the 5 freeway, (Main St. South exit) and just minutes from the 57, 55 and 22 freeways.


is located on the corner of 18th and Main Streets - south of the main Bowers Museum. Parking is available in a well-lighted conveniently located area, adjacent to the Museum. Wheelchair accessible.


Parking Lots are available directly north and south of the museum for a $6 fee. Nearby metered and timed street parking is also available. Bowers Museum Members have the exclusive opportunity to purchase an Annual Parking Pass for $20.

Public Transportation

The bus line servicing the Bowers Museum and Kidseum is the OCTA bus number 53. Metrolink and Amtrak trains stop at the Anaheim Station (3.5 miles from the museum), and the Santa Ana Station (1.7 miles from the museum).

Art Studio

Clay Gingerbread Man

In the Art Studio on Saturday December 12 and Sunday December 13 from 10:00 a.m-4:00 p.m. your child can create a clay gingerbread man with air dry clay. After they form the gingerbread man is created, children can paint their clay; they will look good enough to eat! Working with clay increases a child’s eye-hand coordination and improves dexterity.


Diego Rivera Watercolors

In honor of opening day, December 12 of Popul Vuh: Watercolors of Diego Rivera at the Bowers Museum families are invited to create their very own water color paintings inspired by the exhibition. Examples are provided for families that have not visited the exhibition yet.


Glow Cave

Glowing Penguin Painting

Paint an adorable penguin with neon paint in the Glow Cave that glows in the room due to the black lights. Painting reinforces hand-eye coordination which will help coordinate larger visual-muscular movements later in life.


Paper Snowflakes

Learn how to create your own snowflake by folding and cutting paper. The snowflakes will appear to be glowing when in the Glow Cave. After cutting the snowflake children can decorate it with glitter. Hang your snowflake at home for a fun glittery winter decoration. You can continue the fun at home by cutting more snowflakes with your children.
