Celebrate with the Bowers Museum during our free family festivals held every first Sunday of the month in the Museum’s beautiful Key Courtyard. Enjoy live performances, art making, face painting and complimentary treats at every festival. Free Family Festivals are made possible with generous support from the Nicholas Endowment.

  • Art Projects: Japanese Fan Fainting, and Cherry Blossom Paper Art
  • Face-painting 
  • Treats: Mochi Treat
  • Shan the Candy Sculptor 
  • Terumi Koga Demonstration of the Art of Wagashi (Japanese Sweets)
  • Kofu Bonsai Tree Display & Demonstration
11:30 AM  Japanese Tea Ceremony by Soukou Hori, Professor of Omotesenke Way of Tea. First 50 attendees will be invited to partake of Green Tea and Japanese treats in the John M. Lee Court. 
12 PM Music Performance by Kishin Daiko Drums
12:30 PM Music Performance by Viorythm
1 PM Dance Performance by Fujima Seiyumi Kai Dance
1:30 PM Music Performance by Yu-Ki Project Jazz
2:30 PM Music Performance by Kishin Daiko Drums
