SATURDAY | JULY 26 | 10:30 AM – 12 PM
ANCIENT ARTS OF CHINA EXHIBITION
The first children’s book published by the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, Garzi the Orphan, brings to life the story of Garzi, a real-life orphaned elephant rescued by SWT. The story of brave Garzi and friends highlights the threats faced by African Elephants, including droughts caused by the climate crisis, habitat loss, ivory poaching and human-wildlife conflict, and the work of the Sheldrick Trust to protect the species and afford orphan elephants like Garzi a future.
Held every last Saturday of the month, Storytime in the Galleries includes free copies of each author’s featured book for the first 35 to RSVP and free General Admission to the galleries for the first 35 participants to arrive at each event. Reading in the galleries will be followed by a simple, fun art project that kids will love.
Ticketed Event: Free with General Admission
