Held on closing day of the Asian Comics exhibition, come celebrate the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival and enjoy beautiful traditional music, dance, free face painting, art projects, and moon cake samples for the entire family. Whether it is called Moon or Mid-Autumn festival this is one of the most important Asian festivals after the New Year celebration. The Moon festival is a celebration of family unity, lighting lanterns and enjoying traditional moon cakes.
Celebrate with the Bowers Museum during our free family festivals held every first Sunday of the month in the Museum’s beautiful Key Courtyard. Enjoy live performances, art making, face painting and complimentary treats at every festival. Free Family Festivals are made possible with generous support from the Nicholas Endowment. Additional support is provided by Capital Group. * Please note: This event is being held the second Sunday in September due to the Labor Day holiday.
