Celebrate with Bowers Museum during our free family festivals held every first Sunday of the month in the Museum’s beautiful Key Courtyard. Enjoy live performances, art making, face painting and complimentary treats at every festival.

Join us for some Magic at Bowers – after hours! Participate in an evening of Magic: The Gathering Commander games, hosted by AKH Trading Card Co, or learn to play the Terracotta Army board game with Hexes & Brews. Duel in the shadow of an ancient army and journey through the museum's featured exhibition, World of the Terracotta Warriors. Cosplay encouraged!

Inspired by the fantastical animal-shaped vessels in the World of the Terracotta Warriors exhibition, families are invited to sculpt their very own mythical creatures out of clay!

Take a nostalgic walk down memory lane with music and more presented by Larry Maurer, historian of the Timeless Melodies Foundation for Education, Inc.

Held every last Saturday of the month, Storytime in the Galleries includes free copies of each author’s featured book for the first 35 to RSVP and free General Admission to the galleries for the first 35 participants to arrive at each event. Reading in the galleries will be followed by a simple, fun art project that kids will love.

Delve into the captivating world of the Terracotta Warriors through a dynamic six-part lecture series led by some of the world’s foremost experts.

Join Dr. Anthony Barbieri, Professor of Early Chinese History at UC Santa Barbara, to explore the archaeological, artistic, and institutional evidence that demonstrates contact between the Hellenistic Greco-Bactrian Kingdom (located in present-day Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan) and the Qin state in China during the third century BCE.

Experience World of the Terracotta Warriors like never before during an exclusive after-hours tour with Dr. Tianlong Jiao, Chief Curator at Bowers Museum.
