LAAC presents Premio Agustín Lara

The Latin American Arts Council of the Bowers Museum presents Exploring the Cultural Diversities of Latin America

The Latin American Art Council and El Patronato Agustín Lara present a musical tribute to a legend in the world of Latin American Music. Lara is the author of such works as Granada and Maria Bonita. Performing are Doris “The Queen of the Bolero," noted tenor Marco Antonio Labastida, Lorenzo Negrete, Rodrigo de la Cadena, el Mariachi Estrella de Jalisco and Jorge Villalobos y su grupo. Gregorio Luke returns to host the show.

El Premio Agustín Lara 2017 honors Pedro Ochoa Palacio, the director of Cecut Tijuana and Rodrigo de la Cadena noted singer and program host.

Tangata cash bar beginning at 5 PM and during intermission.
