Buddhist Art 101 with Dr. Rebecca Hall

Presented by Dr. Rebecca Hall, Assistant Curator, USC Pacific Asia Museum
“Buddhist art” is a term closely associated with the arts of Asia, but as the religion and its art spread from India to other regions, it was adapted to fit local ideologies. In this presentation, the foundation for understanding Buddhist art will be discussed with an in-depth look at regional differences and how art connects Buddhist belief and practice.
