Join us for an innovative and exciting new creative dance residency where Backhausdance, Orange County’s award-winning contemporary dance company, choreographs a site-specific work, Glow I Brillo, designed specifically for the Bowers Museum, Santa Ana residents, and the entire community, from May 7 - June 9, 2024. Everyone is invited to immerse themselves in the joy and art of contemporary dance outdoors in the beautiful Key Courtyard to engage with the company’s professional dancers in our weekly open rehearsals as Glow I Brillo is created. This unique dance program culminates in an energizing workshop for all ages on June 9, the world premiere of Glow I Brillo, a meet and greet with the dancers, and a fun dance party to celebrate our collective community spirit and shared uplifting experience moving together in this historic, cultural outdoor space. Everyone glows on the inside and out with Backhausdance and the Bowers Museum! If you would like to, wear your favorite bright or sparkling colors!
