When the Great Depression took a tremendous toll on American life, popular music thrived with innovative Broadway musicals, talented dancers, and songs to escape the pain. Join Larry Maurer of Timeless Melodies for the first of two parts on this extraordinary decade remembering the great radio singers like Bing Crosby, breakthroughs in dance like Astaire and Rogers, the first Oscar winning songs, and child stars like Shirley Temple and Judy Garland.
